Krabbe Family
We pride ourselves on hard work and integrity. As a family, we are building our first generation farming practices to pass on to future generations. For the past eight years we’ve been raising a range of different livestock, learning and growing while homeschooling our two kids. A few years ago, we realized that our home-grown homestead was looking more like a full time meat operation. With already having ties to Concho, we decided to leave the Phx area, and continue to grow our products and offerings here on the mountain. We are a full time operation, including our kids in every aspect of the business.
As parents our goal is to have a sustainable, reputable business to pass onto our children, and their children. Faith and family are our main priority, while showing God’s love, through our business. We feel truly blessed to have the work that we do and don’t take that for granted.
In a time of uncertainty, we believe in food sustainability, as well as quality and transparency. You won’t find any secrets around here about what we feed our animals, how they are packaged, or how they are raised & treated. Everyone deserves to know what they are getting, when purchasing food and you won’t find our logo on any vague or misleading labels. Do it right the first time, and with Integrity.

Did you know?……
Barns were originally red because of the varnishes often contained linseed oil, lime, or iron oxide, which would turn red when exposed to the sun. Also red paint was often the cheapest option available, especially in the mid to late 1800s. This was due to the abundance of iron and oxygen compounds in the Earth, which are the main ingredients in red paint. Today we paint our barns red as a tradition to remember the generations of farmers and hard work that came before us.

We seasonally feed our hogs a mix of grass, grain and corn.

Besides our website, you can purchase individual cuts of pork at the Stanford Store in Concho, as well as find our booth at the Show Low Farmers Market (2024 & 2025)

We have a very specific finishing diet for our hogs. For the final 30 days, we decrease the level of hay they receive, and increase the amount of grain they eat. We use a grain & malaises based feed that consists of 12% protein. They absolutely love it and typically gain a little more weight, as well as helps tenderize and marble the meat.
